LO4: User Testing

How I am going to test my website is by conducting a test plan, which will evaluate key areas to test if they perform correctly and function properly. The main things I am going to include on my test plan are if the navigation bar works, if the gallery slideshows function and if the website works on different browsers and devices.

Test Plan:

 

 My test plan address all of the criteria of...

a) navigation

b) internal and external hyperlinks

c) page load times

d) performance of website when using different browsers

e) consistency of house style

  

I have talked about every piece of criteria in my test plan. I have asked the tester's to test if the navigation bar works by asking them to click on the home page link in this bar, if the hyperlink button to download the prospectus works, if the pages load within 7 seconds, if the website works using different browsers such as Google Chrome and Firefox and if browsing through the images work.

This is how long my pages took to refresh in Firefox. The times ranged from 2.52 seconds to 2.78 seconds. The quickest page to refresh was the 'Contact Us' page and the slowest was the 'Information' page.
