LO1: Analysis of amazon.co.uk


b) Visitor Needs: The visitor needs from the Amazon website is to search for any product that they might need to buy or download. The visitors could also want to look up more information about Amazon's products such as the Kindle or the fire TV stick.


c) Information Flow/User Experience: On the Amazon website, there is a big, long search bar at the top of the web page. This is generally what users would use to search for products they want to purchase. There is a list of popular departments that users can click on for easy access to a category of products.


d) Features: Amazon's website https://www.amazon.com/ has the same problem as Gumtree's website, there are very limited features. The only real options are to search for products and to buy them. There are some other minor options but they all relate to Amazon in some way, for example the Amazon Prime adverts, Kindle adverts and all the fulfilments from the company.


e) Benefits: The benefits of the Amazon website are that the users are able to search for any products that they are in need of in an instant. It is very convent as it saves going out to buy products when you can have a bigger variety on this website.


f) Content: The worldwide Amazon website (https://www.amazon.com/) has content to satisfy all users that visit either just to browse or to make a purchase. You can search for your specific needs in the search bar, there are images displaying the products that are made by Amazon such as the Kindle and Prime and sponsored pages. There are also opportunities on the website such as jobs and careers that are available from Amazon.
